What a UK CV usually looks like
UK CVs are normally A4 and kept to one or two pages. They tend to open with your name and contact details, then a short personal profile, work experience in reverse order, education and skills. A photo is not usually expected. These templates follow that order, so you can fill in the gaps rather than design from scratch.
Choosing the right layout
A single column reads cleanly and suits most roles. A sidebar layout makes skills easy to spot. If you are leaving school or university, pick a template that puts education first. How long should a UK CV be?
Most UK CVs are one or two A4 pages. Recent graduates and school leavers often fit on one page. Academic CVs can run longer because of publications and teaching. Cut anything old or unrelated to the job you are applying for.
Should I put a photo on my UK CV?
It is not usually expected in the UK, and many applicants leave it out. Most of these templates have no photo. One creative layout includes a photo placeholder you can delete if you do not want it.
Can I download my CV as a PDF?
