AI usage runs on monthly AI credits — 500 on Free, 5,000 on Creator, 20,000 on Growth, and 100,000 on Agency — and paid plans use premium AI models. You can also top up credits any time.
Why do actions on X (Twitter) use AI credits?
X charges developers for its API on a pay-per-use basis — every post published, message fetched, and analytics read has a price, and posts containing a link cost X several times more than a plain post. Because of this, actions on X channels consume AI credits from the same credit balance you already have: publishing to X uses credits per post, and X analytics and the X inbox are optional per-channel features that are off by default. The exact credit cost is always shown in the app before an action runs, and background features pause automatically if your credits run low.
