Pick the layout that fits your experience. A single-column CV suits a long work history, because recruiters read it top to bottom. A two-column layout fits shorter careers with a strong skills list. If you are just starting out, put education first. Academic roles usually need a longer, plainer format with space for publications.
Open any template in Nimply Design and click the text to type your own details. Change fonts and colours, move sections around, or swap in a photo if your country expects one. If you use a brand kit, your colours and fonts are ready to apply. Nothing to install.
Download your CV as a PDF, which is the safest choice for sending to employers because the layout stays fixed. PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG are also available, for example if you want an image for a portfolio page. Downloading a template does not use AI credits.
Keep to one or two typefaces and leave space between sections. Use plain section names like Experience and Education. Check your contact details before you export. Some employers use software to read CVs, so a clean layout with real text is a safer bet than heavy decoration.
Nimply Design is part of every Nimply plan, including Free, so you can open a template, edit it and download it without paying. AI photo tools such as the background remover use AI credits, but the templates and downloads do not.

A PDF is usually best, because fonts and spacing stay as you designed them. Follow the job advert if it asks for something else. You can also download PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG from the editor.

It depends on the country and the role. Some places expect one, while in others, such as the US and UK, it is usually left out. Photo layouts here are optional, and you can remove the placeholder.
