What you can publish

Every post format X supports for scheduling, in one composer

Nimply publishes single posts to X — the format the platform runs on. Here's exactly what a scheduled post can carry.

01

Text posts

The 280-character workhorse. Write it now, publish it Tuesday at 9:04 — the composer counts characters as you type, and the AI assistant is tuned for X's short format.

02

Image posts

Attach up to four images to a single post — from your media library, imported from Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or Unsplash, or generated with AI at a credit cost you see up front.

03

GIFs

Schedule a post with an animated GIF the same way you'd schedule anything else — it sits in the calendar and publishes at the minute you picked.

04

Video

Upload a video once and let Nimply publish it on schedule through X's official API — no reminder asking you to finish the job from your phone.

The workflow

Consistent on X without living in the app

The accounts that stay interesting on X post steadily, not constantly. This is the loop that makes steady cheap: batch the writing, gate it with approval, let the calendar do the showing up.

  1. Step 1 — Connect

    Link your X account

Authorize Nimply through X's official API. Manage several handles in separate workspaces with member roles — one flat price, not a per-channel fee.

  2. Step 2 — Draft

Write it, or have it written

Type the post yourself, or let the AI assistant draft it in your workspace brand voice — defined once, inherited by every draft. Attach media, save hashtag sets, keep it under 280.

  3. Step 3 — Approve

    Nothing ships unreviewed

Every draft — yours, a teammate's, or an agent's — goes through the same gate: draft, then approval, then scheduled. Clients sign off in their own workspace instead of a screenshot thread.

  4. Step 4 — Publish

    Auto-publish at the exact minute

Pick a precise time, or let posts fill the standing queue slots you defined. Nimply publishes server-side — your laptop can be closed and the post still goes out.

The AI workforce

A scheduler is a calendar. These are the writers.

The hard part of X isn't posting — it's having something worth posting five times a week. Two Nimply agents exist for exactly that gap, and both work the same way: they draft, you approve.

Agent / Ideation

Trend Scout

Watches 2,000+ live industry articles plus any trend sources you connect, filters them through your niche description, and files sourced post angles on your Ideas board — every card traceable to a real article, on a schedule you set. Your commentary posts stop depending on you doomscrolling for material.

Agent / Writing

Content Repurposer

Takes a published post from another channel — or long-form text you paste in — and rebuilds it as one tight claim under 280 characters, in your brand voice. Lineage tracking stamps every draft, so the same idea never gets repurposed to X twice.

The rails: agents never publish directly. Every run produces drafts that wait in your approval queue, every run shows its credit cost, and you can pause an agent at any time.

Field notes

A cadence you can actually keep

Schedule the floor, show up for the ceiling

Scheduling covers your baseline — the one or two posts a day that keep the account alive whether or not you open the app. What it can't do is react live, and it shouldn't: replies and the joke that only works today are the part you do in person. Batch the floor once a week; spend your actual X time on the ceiling.

One claim per post

280 characters is an editing constraint, not a container to fill. The posts that travel make exactly one claim, sharply — if yours has a second sentence starting with "also," that's tomorrow's post. Split the idea, space the posts, and one writing session becomes a week of presence.

Mix commentary with evergreen

A feed of pure hot takes ages badly; a feed of pure evergreen reads like a bot. Rotate reactions to what's moving in your niche, lessons that stay true, and questions that invite replies. Your best evergreen posts deserve a second life later in the year — rewritten fresh, not reposted verbatim.

X (Twitter) scheduling — questions, answered

Can I schedule tweets for free?

Yes. Nimply's free plan lets you connect X and schedule posts without a credit card. Paid plans raise the limits, but pricing stays flat — you're never charged per connected channel.

X has a built-in scheduler — why use a separate Twitter scheduler?

X's native scheduler only handles one post at a time from the desktop website. Nimply adds a drag-and-drop calendar across weeks of posts, a reusable queue, AI drafting in your brand voice, team approvals, and every other platform you publish to in the same view.

What can I attach to a scheduled post on X?

Up to four images, one animated GIF, or one video per post — from your media library, from imports (Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Unsplash), or from the built-in AI image generator.

Can I schedule threads?

Not yet. Nimply schedules single posts on X today — text, images, GIF, or video. If threads land in the product, they'll go through the same draft-approve-schedule flow as everything else.

Does Nimply actually post for me, or just remind me?

It actually posts. Scheduled posts publish automatically through X's official API at the time you chose — no reminder notifications, no finishing the job from your phone.

Can the AI write posts that sound like me?

That's the point of the workspace brand voice: describe how you write once, and every AI draft — from the caption assistant or agents like Trend Scout and the Content Repurposer — inherits it. Drafts are always yours to edit or reject, and each run shows its credit cost up front.

Can I manage multiple X accounts?

Yes. Keep each brand or client in its own workspace with its own calendar, media library, and member roles. Flat pricing means another handle doesn't add another line item.

Does Nimply handle my X replies and DMs?

No — and we'd rather say so than imply it. On X, Nimply is publishing-side: drafting, scheduling, approvals, and auto-posting. Conversations on X still happen in the X app.
