What it does
Five things, all of them from the page you are already on
Good ideas arrive while you are reading, not while you are planning. Sidekick puts one button in your browser so the post, the article or the comment in front of you becomes something useful in Nimply before the tab closes.
Keep a post
Right-click a post on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube or TikTok — or any article on the web — and keep it as a card on an Ideas board in your workspace. The text, the link back, the author’s name and the image links come with it, so the idea still makes sense next month.
Write a post from the page you are on
Turn what you are reading into a first draft for your own channels, written in your brand voice by the same AI drafting you already have inside Nimply. The draft opens in the Nimply composer, where you edit, approve and schedule it the way you always do.
Help me reply
Looking at a comment or a message someone sent you? Click Sidekick on the thread and it suggests a few short replies in your voice. You pick one, edit it, and it goes to your clipboard so you can paste and send it yourself. Sidekick does not send anything.
Save an image
Right-click an image you have permission to use and choose “Save image to Nimply”. It lands in your media library with a note of the page it came from, so you can credit the source.
Save as lead
When a comment reads like buying interest, keep that person as a lead: their name, their profile link and what they actually said, ready for your Sales and Lead agent in Nimply. It never digs for email addresses or phone numbers.
And it stays out of the way
Everything Sidekick shows you lives in your browser’s own panel, next to the page. It never adds buttons to LinkedIn or X, never changes what you are reading, and never does anything on a social network on your behalf.
How it works
Click, review, confirm
Three steps, every time. Nothing leaves your browser until you press the button.

Click
On the post, article, image or comment in front of you, click the Sidekick icon, use the right-click menu, or press Alt+Shift+S. That click is what lets the extension read the page — only that page, only that once.

Review in the panel
The panel opens beside the page and shows you exactly what it read: the text, the author, the link, the images, each with its own keep-or-drop switch. Nothing has been sent anywhere yet.

Confirm
Choose where it goes — an Ideas board, the composer, your media library, your leads — and confirm. Only then does anything reach your workspace, where it follows the same approval steps as everything else in Nimply.
What it never does
Assistive, not automated
Sidekick is built to the same rule as Nimply’s AI agents: it prepares work, you decide. These limits are in the design, not in the settings, so there is no switch that turns them off.
- It never posts, comments, likes, follows, connects, shares or messages on any website. Publishing still goes through Nimply’s draft, approval and schedule steps, and replies are sent by you.
- It never types into a page. Drafted replies go to your clipboard; you paste and send them yourself.
- It never changes how a website looks. Its whole interface lives in the browser’s side panel, sidebar or popup, next to the page, not on top of it.
- It never reads a page in the background. It reads only when you click, only the page you are looking at, and only that once. It cannot read a feed, a search or a list page.
- It never touches your cookies or your logged-in session on any website, and it never tracks your browsing. It contains no analytics and no third-party code.
- It asks for at most six low-risk permissions, and the only web addresses it can contact are api.nimply.io and app.nimply.io — your own Nimply account.

Which browsers
One extension, three builds, five stores
Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and Arc share one build and a side panel. Firefox uses its browser sidebar. Safari has no sidebar for extensions, so it uses a toolbar popup and a full-page tab, and ships through the App Store inside a small app. Each store reviews on its own timetable.

Store links appear on each page as that store approves the listing. Until then every button reads “Coming soon”.

Frequently asked questions
Does Sidekick post, reply or like for me?
No. Sidekick has no way to publish, comment, like, follow, connect or send a message anywhere. It reads what you click on and hands it to your Nimply workspace, and that is the whole of it. Posts you draft with it still go through Nimply’s normal draft, approval and schedule flow, and replies it suggests are copied and sent by you.
Does it work on LinkedIn?
Yes, in one direction only: when you click it, Sidekick reads the LinkedIn post or comment in front of you and brings it into Nimply. It does not write anything to LinkedIn, does not add buttons or overlays to LinkedIn pages, does not touch your LinkedIn session or cookies, and does not read your feed. The same applies on X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok.
Could using it get my account restricted?
What social networks prohibit is software that acts for you — automatic likes, comments, follows, connection requests or messages — and software that scrapes their pages in bulk or changes how their site looks and behaves. Sidekick is built to do none of those things: it takes no action on any platform, it reads one item at a time and only when you click, and it adds nothing to the page. We cannot speak for any platform’s enforcement decisions, and no extension vendor honestly can. What we can tell you is exactly what ours does, which is what this page and our extension privacy policy set out.

Sidekick is part of your Nimply account and is not sold separately. Keeping posts, saving images and leads, and opening the composer from a page are included on every plan, including the free trial. When you ask it to write a post or suggest replies, that runs on the same AI credits your workspace already uses for AI work inside Nimply, and the cost of each run is shown before you run it.
Which browsers does it support?
One build covers Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera and the Chromium-based browsers Brave, Vivaldi and Arc, where it appears in the side panel. Firefox has its own build, where it appears in the browser sidebar. Safari has its own build too, delivered through the App Store inside a small app; Safari has no sidebar for extensions, so there it uses a toolbar popup and a full-page tab. Each store reviews on its own timetable, so availability arrives browser by browser.
When can I install it?
Not yet. Sidekick is built and in store review; it is not published in any browser store at the time of writing. The buttons on this page turn into real install links as each store approves the listing, and nowhere on this site links to a listing that does not exist.
Do I need a Nimply account?
Yes. Sidekick is a companion to Nimply, not a standalone tool: everything it keeps or drafts lands in your Nimply workspace. Sign in once with the Nimply login you already have and pick a workspace. If you do not have an account yet, you can create one free and connect your channels before the extension is available.
What does Sidekick collect, and can someone whose post I saved ask for it to be removed?
It collects your sign-in token, whatever you clicked to save or draft from, and the display name and profile link of that content’s author for attribution — nothing in the background, and nothing about the sites you visit. Saved content lives in your own workspace until you delete it. Anyone whose public post has been saved can ask for removal by writing to privacy@nimply.io.
