Nimply Sidekick for Microsoft Edge
Sidekick has its own listing in Microsoft Edge Add-ons, reviewed by Microsoft separately from the Chrome listing. It opens in Edge’s sidebar, next to the page.
The button becomes a link the day the Microsoft Edge Add-ons listing is approved. Nothing on this site links to a listing that does not exist yet.

It opens in Edge’s sidebar
Edge shows extension side panels inside its own sidebar on the right of the window. Click the Sidekick icon and the panel appears there, beside the page you are reading. Because Edge’s sidebar can be pinned open, you can keep Sidekick visible while you scroll.

The Edge listing and the Chrome one
The package Microsoft publishes is the same build as the Chrome one, wrapped for the Edge store. Edge can also install extensions from the Chrome Web Store if you turn on “Allow extensions from other stores”, but the Edge Add-ons listing is the one we keep up to date for Edge, so it is the one to use. Edge on Windows, macOS and Linux all use the same listing.

How to add it to Microsoft Edge
Five steps, most of them one click. You sign in with the Nimply account you already have; there is no separate Sidekick account.
You will need
- Microsoft Edge 116 or newer (Edge version numbers follow Chromium’s, and the build targets Chromium 116).
- A Nimply account. Saving posts, images and articles is included on every plan; AI drafting and reply suggestions use your workspace’s AI credits.

Open the Edge Add-ons listing
Use the button on this page. It becomes a link once Microsoft finishes reviewing the extension; until then it reads “Coming soon”.

Click “Get”, then “Add extension”
Edge lists the permissions before it installs anything. None of them is a broad one, so there is no warning: the extension cannot see your browsing, your cookies or any page you have not clicked on.

Show the icon in the toolbar
Click the Extensions button (the puzzle piece) in Edge’s toolbar and choose “Show in toolbar” next to Nimply Sidekick, so the icon stays visible.

Sign in once
Click the icon on any page. Edge opens a small sign-in window for your existing Nimply account; sign in, choose your workspace, and the window closes itself.

Use it on the post in front of you
Click the icon, right-click a post, link or image and choose the Nimply entry, or press Alt+Shift+S. Sidekick reads that one page and shows you what it found before anything is sent.

What is different about Sidekick in Microsoft Edge
The extension does the same things everywhere. These are the parts that Microsoft Edge handles in its own way.
The panel sits in Edge’s sidebar
Where Chrome has a side panel, Edge has a sidebar with its own strip of icons. Sidekick behaves like any other Edge sidebar panel: it can be opened, closed and pinned from there, and it never overlaps the page.

Edge Add-ons has its own review process and its own reviewers. The Edge listing can go live before or after the Chrome one, which is why each store has its own page and its own button here.
Signed in with a Microsoft account? That makes no difference
Sidekick signs in to Nimply, not to your Microsoft account. It cannot see your Edge profile, your Edge sync data or anything Edge stores about you.
Shortcuts are managed in Edge
Change the default Alt+Shift+S at edge://extensions/shortcuts if you prefer another combination.

The Microsoft Edge build keeps every limit the other builds have. They are in the design, not in the settings. Read the full list or the extension privacy policy.
