Good social media ideas arrive while you are reading, not while you are planning. You see a post that lands, an article worth a take, a comment that deserves a proper reply — and then you are switching tabs, copying text into a note, losing the link, and by the evening the idea is gone.
Sidekick closes that gap. It puts one button in your browser: click it on whatever you are looking at, and Nimply catches it. The post text, who wrote it, the link back, the images — all of it lands in your workspace as something you can actually use later, or as a draft you can finish now.
And it stays out of the way. Everything Sidekick shows you lives in your browser’s own side panel, next to the page. It never adds buttons to LinkedIn or X, never changes what you are reading, and never does anything on a social network on your behalf.

What is Nimply Sidekick?
It is a small browser extension that connects the page you are on to your Nimply workspace. You sign in once with your Nimply account. After that, clicking the Sidekick icon (or right-clicking a post, a link, or an image) reads just that one thing on your screen and shows it back to you in a panel, where you decide what to do with it: keep it, draft from it, or drop it.
Nothing happens automatically. Sidekick has no way to browse for you, watch a feed, or read a page you have not clicked on. It does not touch your cookies or your logged-in sessions, and it does not keep any record of the sites you visit. The only websites it is allowed to talk to are Nimply’s own.
One build covers Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and the browsers built on the same engine — Brave, Vivaldi, and Arc. Firefox and Safari have their own builds of the same extension, where the panel appears as a browser sidebar instead. Each browser has its own store and its own review queue, so they will not all go live on the same day.

Keep a post you want to learn from
Right-click any post on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, or TikTok — or any article on the open web — and keep it as a card on your Ideas board. The card holds the full text, the link back to the original, who wrote it, and any images, so it still makes sense to you a month later. Your Trend Scout and Content Repurposer agents can work from what you have kept.
Write a post from the page you are on
Reading something you want to comment on publicly? Send the page — or just the part you highlighted — straight into the Nimply composer, already filled in. Or ask an agent to write the first version in your brand voice, with the page as the source, and pick up the draft in Nimply for the usual review and scheduling.
Get help with a reply
When someone comments on your post or messages you somewhere Nimply’s inbox cannot reach — a LinkedIn personal profile, for instance — click Sidekick on the conversation and it offers a few replies written in your voice. You edit whichever one you like, copy it, and send it yourself. Sidekick never sends anything.
Save an image to your media library
Right-click an image you have permission to use and it goes into your Nimply media library, ready for a future post, with a note of where it came from so you can credit the source.
Save someone as a lead
Someone comments something that reads like buying interest. Keep them as a lead — their name, their profile link, and what they actually said — so your Sales and Lead agent picks it up in Nimply. This is deliberately not contact scraping: Sidekick never digs for email addresses or phone numbers.
What Sidekick will never do
Sidekick is built to the same rule as Nimply’s AI agents: it prepares work, you decide. These limits are in the design, not in the settings, so there is no switch that turns them off.
- It never posts, comments, likes, follows, connects, or sends a message on any social network. Publishing still goes through Nimply’s normal draft, approval, and schedule steps, and replies are sent by you.
- It only reads a page when you ask it to, by clicking the toolbar icon, using the right-click menu, or pressing the keyboard shortcut. It never reads in the background and never reads a page you have not clicked on.
- It does not track your browsing, and it cannot see your cookies or your logged-in sessions on any site.
- It never changes the page you are on. All of its own screen lives in the browser’s side panel, so nothing is added to, moved in, or hidden on the sites you visit.
- It asks for six low-risk permissions and nothing more, and the only web addresses it is allowed to contact are Nimply’s own.
How it works
Three steps, every time: click, look, confirm. Nothing leaves your browser until you press the button.

Add it and sign in once
Add Sidekick from your browser’s store, then sign in with the Nimply account you already have and pick the workspace you are working in. You can switch workspaces from the panel at any time, and signing out removes the extension’s access.

Click it on something worth keeping
On the post, article, image, or comment in front of you, click the Sidekick icon in your toolbar, or right-click and choose the Nimply entry. That click is what gives the extension permission to read the page — and only that page, only that once.

Look at what it found, in the side panel
The panel opens beside the page and shows you exactly what it read: the text, the author, the link, the images. Nothing has been sent anywhere yet. If it grabbed the wrong post or you change your mind, close the panel and that is the end of it.

Confirm where it goes
Choose the Ideas board and column, the composer, or your media library, and confirm. Only then does anything reach your workspace — where it behaves like everything else in Nimply, including the approval steps your team already uses.
Frequently asked questions
Does Sidekick post for me?
No. Sidekick has no way to publish, comment, like, follow, connect, or send a message anywhere. It reads what you click on and hands it to your Nimply workspace, and that is the whole of it. Posts you draft with it still go through Nimply’s normal draft, approval, and schedule flow, and replies it suggests are copied and sent by you.
Does it work on LinkedIn?
Yes, in one direction only: when you click it, Sidekick reads the LinkedIn post or comment in front of you and brings it into Nimply. It does not write anything to LinkedIn, does not add buttons or overlays to LinkedIn pages, does not touch your LinkedIn session or cookies, and does not read your feed. The same applies on X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
Could using it get my account restricted?
What social networks prohibit is software that acts for you — automatic likes, comments, follows, connection requests, or messages — and software that scrapes their pages in bulk or changes how their site looks and behaves. Sidekick is built to do none of those things: it takes no action on any platform, it reads one item at a time and only when you click, and it adds nothing to the page, because all of its own interface is in the browser’s side panel. We cannot speak for any platform’s enforcement decisions, and no extension vendor honestly can. What we can tell you is exactly what ours does, which is what this page and our extension privacy policy set out. If you ever receive an automation warning, you can turn Sidekick off in your browser in one click and contact our support team.
What does Sidekick cost?
Sidekick itself is part of your Nimply account and is not sold separately. Keeping posts, saving images, and opening the composer from a page are covered by your plan. When you ask an AI agent to write a post or suggest replies, that runs on the same AI credits your workspace already uses for AI work inside Nimply, at the same rates.
Which browsers does it support?

When can I install it?
Not yet. Sidekick is built and in store review; it is not published in any browser store at the time of writing. The buttons on this page turn into real install links as each store approves the listing, and nowhere on this site links to a listing that does not exist.
What does Sidekick collect, and can someone whose post I saved ask for it to be removed?
It collects your sign-in token, whatever you clicked to save or draft from, and the display name and profile link of that content’s author for attribution — nothing in the background, and nothing about the sites you visit. Saved content lives in your own workspace until you delete it. Anyone whose public post has been saved can ask for removal by writing to privacy@nimply.io.
