Nimply Sidekick for Chrome
The Chrome Web Store listing is the main home for Sidekick. It opens in Chrome’s side panel beside the page you are reading, and the same listing covers Brave, Vivaldi and Arc.
The button becomes a link the day the Chrome Web Store listing is approved. Nothing on this site links to a listing that does not exist yet.
Where it appears
It lives in Chrome’s side panel
Click the Sidekick icon in the toolbar and the panel slides in on the right of the window, next to the page. The page itself is never changed: no buttons are added to it, nothing is moved or hidden. Close the panel and the page is exactly as it was.

Brave, Vivaldi and Arc are built on the same Chromium engine as Chrome and install their extensions from the Chrome Web Store. There is no separate listing for them and none is needed: open the Chrome Web Store page in that browser and add it the same way. The side panel works the same in all three. Microsoft Edge and Opera run the same build too, but have stores of their own, with their own pages here.

How to add it to Google Chrome
Five steps, most of them one click. You sign in with the Nimply account you already have; there is no separate Sidekick account.
You will need
- Google Chrome 116 or newer (the side panel arrived in Chrome 114; the build targets 116).
- A Nimply account. Saving posts, images and articles is included on every plan; AI drafting and reply suggestions use your workspace’s AI credits.

Open the Chrome Web Store listing
Use the button on this page. It becomes a link the day the listing is approved; until then it says “Coming soon”, and nothing on this site links to a listing that does not exist.

Click “Add to Chrome”, then “Add extension”
Chrome shows the permissions the extension asks for. None of them is a broad one, so there is no install warning: it cannot read your browsing, your cookies or any site you have not clicked on.

Pin the icon
Click the puzzle-piece button in Chrome’s toolbar and press the pin next to Nimply Sidekick, so the icon is always one click away.

Sign in once
Click the icon on any page. A small Chrome sign-in window opens for your existing Nimply account; sign in, pick the workspace you want to save into, and the window closes itself.

Use it on the post in front of you
Click the icon to open the panel, right-click a post, link or image and choose the Nimply entry, or press Alt+Shift+S. Sidekick reads that one page, shows you what it found, and waits for you to confirm.

What is different about Sidekick in Google Chrome
The extension does the same things everywhere. These are the parts that Google Chrome handles in its own way.
One click opens the panel, not a popup
Chrome lets an extension open its side panel straight from the toolbar click, so in Chrome there is no in-between popup: click the icon and the panel is there, with the page already read.
Sign-in uses Chrome’s own extension sign-in window
Chrome gives extensions a dedicated sign-in window that closes itself once you are done. Sidekick uses it, so signing in never opens a stray tab.
Six permissions, all of them low-risk
activeTab, scripting, storage, contextMenus, identity and sidePanel — and the only web addresses it may contact are api.nimply.io and app.nimply.io. This is the longest permission list of any Sidekick build, because Chrome is where the side panel and the sign-in window both exist.
The shortcut is yours to change
Alt+Shift+S is the default for “keep the post on this page”. Change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts if it clashes with something you already use.
Same rules in every browser
Assistive, not automated
The Google Chrome build keeps every limit the other builds have. They are in the design, not in the settings. Read the full list or the extension privacy policy.
- Reads one page, once, only when you click. Never a feed, a search or a list page, and never in the background.
- Never posts, replies, likes, follows or types into a page. Drafted replies go to your clipboard for you to send.
- Never changes the page you are on, never touches your cookies or sessions, and can only contact nimply.io.
