If you already plan your week in Claude, you can now run your social media from the same chat. Nimply is listed in the Claude Connectors Directory, which means connecting takes one click and a Nimply login. No API keys, no config files.
This post covers what the connector does, how the connection works, what Claude is allowed to touch, and the prompts we use ourselves.
What you can do from a Claude chat
Once connected, Claude can work inside the Nimply workspace you choose:
- See your channels. List the accounts connected to Nimply (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, and Telegram) and spot any that need reconnecting.
- Draft and schedule posts. Create posts as drafts, queue them into each channel's next free posting slot, schedule them for a specific time, or publish now. One post per channel, with media attached from a URL.
- Use platform-specific options. YouTube title, visibility and category; TikTok privacy and disclosure settings; Pinterest boards, links and alt text; LinkedIn visibility.
- Manage what's already there. Browse, inspect, edit, reschedule, unschedule or delete drafts and scheduled posts.
- Run approvals. Request approval on a draft, then approve or reject with a comment. Agencies use this to keep client sign-off in the loop.
- Check performance. Pull workspace, channel or post analytics for any date range.
That is 23 tools in total. Every one of them goes through Nimply's public API, so plan limits, approval rules and channel requirements apply exactly as they do in the app.
How to connect
- Open the Nimply listing in the Claude directory, or find Nimply under Customize in claude.ai, and click Connect.
- Claude opens Nimply's authorization page. Sign in, choose the workspace Claude may use, and review the permissions.
- Click Allow access. You're back in Claude with the connector enabled.
The same connector works in claude.ai on the web, the Claude mobile apps, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code. You need a Nimply account with at least one connected social channel; the free plan works. Only workspace owners and admins can authorize a connection.
If you prefer to add it by hand, the server URL is https://mcp.nimply.io/mcp, and the developer docs cover every supported client, including Cursor, Windsurf and ChatGPT.
What Claude can and cannot reach
We designed the connector around one rule: Claude does exactly what you approved, in one workspace, and nothing else.
- Scoped permissions. The consent page lists the permissions being requested. Read-only permissions let Claude analyze but not post; scheduling and publishing need the write and publish permissions.
- One workspace per connection. Claude sees only the workspace you picked. Other workspaces, your password, billing details and your inbox are never in reach.
- Attributed actions. Every post Claude creates is recorded against your user account, so your team can see who did what.
- Confirmations for writes. Read tools such as listing posts or pulling analytics run without a prompt. Tools that create, schedule, publish, approve or delete are marked as write actions, and Claude asks before running them.
- Nothing about your conversation. Nimply receives the individual actions Claude takes, never the chat itself. Details are in our privacy policy.
- Revoke any time. Disconnect from Settings → Connected apps in Nimply. Access ends immediately.

A tip from our own use: ask Claude to save drafts first, review them in the Nimply planner, then ask it to schedule. You keep the editorial pass, and Claude does the repetitive part.
Frequently asked questions
Does the connector cost extra?
No. The connector is part of Nimply and works on every plan, including the free plan. You need a Claude plan that supports connectors.
Can Claude publish without asking me?
Publishing tools are marked as write actions, so Claude asks for confirmation before running them. If you connect with read-only permissions, Claude cannot publish at all.
Does Nimply see my Claude conversations?
No. Nimply receives only the individual tool actions Claude performs, such as "create this post". The conversation stays with Anthropic under its own privacy terms.
Can I use it with other AI assistants?
Yes. The same MCP server works with ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code and any MCP-capable client. Setup guides for each are in the developer docs.
What if a post fails?
Publishing is asynchronous. After "publish now" the post shows as scheduled, and Claude can check its status until it reads published or failed. Failed posts stay in your planner with the reason attached, exactly as in the app.
